Levi Strauss & Co. Bangladesh Celebrates Community Day with It’s Humanity Foundation (IHF)
This year, to celebrate their community day, Levi Strauss & Co Bangladesh partnered with It's Humanity Foundation (IHF) to spend the day with our students doing fun crafting activities together. Levi Strauss & Co Bangladesh team spent their day doing group activities like crafting on jeans with paint, laces, fabrics etc. and they also very graciously brought gifts for our students. It was such a fun and wholesome day.
The day was split into two phases, in the first phase Levi's team spent some quality time with our creative little champs and in the second phase, the team visited our Protibha stall and also did a fun block print session in our Protibha Training Center in Tongi.
“Community Day has been a part of Levi Strauss & Co. for more than 20 years and is one of the ways our employees feel empowered to stand up, speak out and give back,” said Chip Bergh, President & CEO of Levi Strauss & Co. “While coming together has looked different in the last few years, being able to engage our communities in person this year is something our people across our corporate, retail and distribution centers were really looking forward to, myself included. Volunteer spots filled up within hours, and I am proud to see us getting together to make an impact in our communities.”
The whole day was filled with lots of activities starting from crafting, making design using fabrics, visiting Protibha Center and many more. The Levi Strauss & Co. Bangladesh employees also participated in a rickshaw paint session where they experienced the art of rickshaw painting which has a very special place in the history of Bangladeshi visual art. Along with this, Levi’s Bangladesh team also participated in a block print session where they got to print beautiful patterns on a fabric with customized hand painted logo of Protibha and Levi’s.
